Additional Information

The primary objective of The Journal of Culinary Education is to fulfill the need for a refereed journal dedicated to teaching and learning in culinary and foodservice education through the creation of a journal that is both academically rigorous and relevant to the practice of teaching and learning. To this end, a highly qualified and experienced editorial advisory board has been formed.

The Journal of Culinary Education, although unaffiliated in any formal way with any particular organization or institution, will work in conjunction with the Center for the Advancement of Foodservice  Education (CAFÉ) and other professional organizations to promote and publish scholarship related to teaching and learning in culinary education. Manuscripts approved for publication by the referee panel may be featured during future CAFÉ events and authors of approved publications may be provided the opportunity to present their published work at one of the annual CAFÉ conferences.

Approved manuscripts will be published at www.culinaryeducation.org and made available to the culinary education community in the form of a posted PDF file.

The Journal of Culinary Education will also feature a blog for each published article where readers can post comments. This interactive format will allow a higher level of engagement for readers and potentially result in the sharing of best practice.
